Activities in Curitiba


Curitiba is Paraná state capital and it was colonized predominantly by European immigrants.


The marriage between the immigrant labor and the municipal administrations ended creating a planned Curitiba that is internationally awarded in urban management, environment and public transportation.

With the success of the combination of environmental protection combined with urban development, Curitiba offers several attractions in amazing places with a lot of fun, learning and awareness. 


Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden of Curitiba has French-inspiration and is one of the most popular attractions of the city, its colorful flowers, ponds, paths and art nouveau greenhouse creating a sweet-smelling fairyland. The city also provides other parks to stroll as Parque Estadual de Vila Velha and Tanguá Park.


Wire Opera House 

Inaugurated in 1992 is a tubular structure with a transparent roof. Has a capacity of 1542 people and its stage has dimension of 400 square meters destined to cultural and artistic presentations. The external scenario is also wonderful, surrounded by native forest, a lake with Carp, a variety of birds and a 10 meter cascade.


Historic Center 

The historic center is popularly known as Largo da Ordem. There, you will find buildings like the Paranaense Museum, the colorful Mosque Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib, Garibaldi Palace, The Flower Clock, Solar do Rosário and the Memorial of Curitiba. There also happens an Arts and Crafts Fair that takes place every Sunday from 9am to 2pm.


Museu Oscar Niemyer 

The Museum is also known as “Eye Museum” and it is one of the most important museums of Parana. It holds temporary exhibitions and its permanent collection includes several contemporary works. For better convenience of its visitors, the museum offers a charming coffee shop and sculptures in the gardens.


Panoramic Tower 

Some people say that the visit the Tower is a must stop. It is an open telephone building open for visitation that sits on the highest point of the city. It has 109.5 meters high, equivalent to 40 floors and where you can have a 360º view of the state capital.


Rua 24 Horus. 

Space dedicated to the ones who are up all night. It’s like a gallery with a choice of restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. Street recently underwent a restructuring, not just on its style, but also on the concept. Today is offered a range of services that meet the needs of those who are there for leisure, sightseeing or on a quick business meeting.
