Buenos Aires is a very charming city to visit.

The European heritage is seen in the architecture, the charm of colorful neighborhoods and parks, cafes with tables on the sidewalks and tango shows are the lure for visitors.

 

La Boca is the neighborhood where is La Bombonera stadium of Boca Juniors soccer tream, and the street called El Caminito with all the colorful houses. San Telmo is one of the best preserved areas of the city with colonial houses and cobbled streets. Over the weekend San Telmo is invaded by a street market and tango dancers. Recoleta is where we find the fine dining, the National Museum of Fine Arts and the Flower Monument Generica that opens and closes its petals depending on the time of day. The Plaza de Mayo is the oldest square in Buenos Aires with its foundation in the year of  1580 and is surrounded by buildings like the Casa Rosada (seat of the Argentine government) , The Metropolitan Cathedral, which holds the remains of General San Martin, hero of Argentine independence . And of course you cannot help but go to a Tango show, the biggest icon of the capital Buenos Aires.

It is known as the wine region and is renowned for being responsible for one of the continent’s best wine productions. The proximity to the Andes is a great platform for the exploration of Cerro Aconcagua which is the biggest mountain of the world after the Himalayas.

 

Salta

Salta is north of Argentina and is a colonial city full of charisma. The Cerro San Sebastian provides a lovely view of the site. The unforgettable Archaeological Museum of High Mountain (MAAM), where exhibit Inca mummies that were found in the mountains of the area.

Córdoba

Still in the north, Cordoba was one of the main cities founded by the Spanish colonizers and preserves the historic center and the buildings of this era. The National University Cordoba is another attraction of the city, whose buildings are World Heritage Humanity. It is the second largest city in Argentina. Garcia village, very close to where is located the house-museum Che Guevara , another tourist destination in the region.

 

Bariloche

San Carlos de Bariloche, better known as Bariloche, has amazing scenery with its mountains and lakes. It offers casinos and nightclubs and rich cuisine. To stroll you will find the mountain Cerro Catedral, more traditional station of the city. Cerro Otto with a revolving pastry on top of the mountain is another great option to visit. The region also offers a wide range of extreme sports, like numerous trails for trekking and mountain biking, rafting and canopy.

 

Ushuaia

Ushuaia is the southernmost city in the world. It’s a great base for exploring the beautiful Tierra del Fuego National Park, the Martial Glacier or take a ride on the Tren Fin del Mundo (train). The southern city has a rich fauna composed of penguins, whales and sea lions.

Things to Do

These include Golden Gate Park where you will find the California Academy of Science and the Young Museum. In addition there are many gardens to be experienced: Botanical Garden, Japanese Tea Garden and the Conservatory of Flowers. The Dolores Park and Alamo Square Park are more options for your stroll.
